  3. What do I do if someone I know is struggling with suicidal thoughts?
  4. 1. Take it seriously.
  5. 2. Talk about it.
  6. 3. Talk about it carefully.
  7. 4. When you’re talking about suicide, talk about it directly.
  8. 5. Love them the way you would want to be loved.
  9. 6. Remember it is not a sin to be sick.
  10. What do I do if I lost someone I love to suicide?
  11. 1. Remember that God knows what it is like to lose a child.
  12. 2. Remember that God is close.
  13. 3. Let go of any guilt or shame that you carry.
  14. Joy is doubled in community and pain is cut in half.
