  3. Marriage, according to rabbinic law, is a vow to be faithful, to provide, and to love.
  4. In Jesus’ day everyone wanted to know where you stood on divorce.
  5. This is not an abstract subject.
  6. God went through a divorce.
  7. There is love and compassion at the cross for the hardhearted vow breakers like us.
