Message Notes

  1. Every person needs to be treated with dignity, kindness and respect, regardless of what they are attracted to, what they believe, or how they decide to live their lives.
  2. 54% of LGBTQ people grew up in church.
  3. 73% of LGBTQ people view churches as unfriendly.
  4. Often, when Christians consider sharing the good news of Jesus, they think they have only two options:
  5. 1. Repent or perish.
  6. 2. Complete approval.
  7. There is a third option: hospitality. This creates room, time, and space for people to learn about Jesus.
  8. There is a difference between acceptance and approval.
  9. We can accept people, even though we disagree.
  10. We have to strive to create a safe, loving and welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ people so they can feel free to come and learn about Christ.
