- What we learn from Psalm 42
- 1. Human beings have been fighting battles with depression for a long time.
- 2. This is a battle fought with God and others.
- It’s not wrong to experience depression. Rather depression is a sign that something is wrong.
- The way to help others is to be burden carriers and not fixers.
- Sometimes, what gets in the way of the church being able to help somebody deal with depression is a spirit of judgment.
- What people need is for people to come alongside them, get familiar with the burden and help them carry it to Jesus.
